Hello name is Stefanie and I was born and raised in south Alabama, not far from the Gulf Coast. I married my best friend Jason in 2008. I guess you can say we are still newlyweds. We are young but we feel we've set ourselves up for the best success possible that life has to offer. Here is our story:
In 2007 my husband and I were first introduced to multi-level marketing. We were asked to dress up and go to a hotel meeting to look at a business presentation. Jason and I are both very open minded people so we thought "What the heck, this may be something for us". So we go to the meeting and fall in love with the idea of leverage, allowing money to work for us. We liked the concept of doing the work right one time and getting paid for it over and over again. We signed up right away and began building a list of family and friends and contacting them about this amazing opportunity. Our story goes south from here, wasn't long we quit.
We continued on with our lives and kept working and considering going to college or starting a business. It had been over a year since we had quit that mlm company but in the back of my mind I was always thinking "What if we would of stayed, where would be be now? How much money would we be making? Did we make a bad decision quitting?"
In 2009 I was introduced to a brand new company that had just launched a new skincare line and I was very excited about. I joined right away. Contacted my family and friends only to find out they weren't interested and to loose some friendships along the way. I thought I was helping people, but I was hurting them. How was I to know my sponsor was asking me to "Sell them" "Get them in the deal" "Close them". I gave this company all I had! I was fully committed. I went to meetings, got on all the calls, spoke to everyone I came in contact with, I think I would of talked to my neighbor's dog if he would of joined my business!
Finally a friend told me about a free ebook called 'Success in 10 Steps' I thought "What have I got to loose? I'm failing at this business and I am about ready to quit, maybe I wasn't meant to be in this business after all!" But I was open minded and I downloaded the ebook. All I can say is "Thank Goodness!" I got that ebook. It helped me understand that it was not my fault. After that my friend helped me get plugged into the system and I learned the skills I needed to be successful in this industry and they helped me for free and with no agenda. No one ever tried to close me or get me in their deal. They were helping me because they wanted to. Wow! There are still people like that out there, and I am now doing what they did with me. They taught me to be a critical thinker and they provided me the skills that I was missing.
